Elevate your everyday makeup routine with Anna Roberts!

Within the makeup industry there are so many key products and hacks that are kept as an industry secret. But speaking as someone who was an outsider to this community for years- I think these secrets deserve to be shared; everyone deserves flawless makeup regardless of the products they have available to them.

Setting spray specifics
When choosing a setting spray to complete your makeup routine, I find it helpful to check for a fine misting spray. Another makeup product that I enjoy using to set in between the layers I apply is Morphe’s Continuous Setting Spray- which is more like a light aerosol applicator compared to the regular style spray. This fine mist ensures that your makeup sets quickly and doesn’t apply like rain (which I have found some traditional sprays do).

using specialised products
due to the ingredients used in different makeup products across the wide range of brands on the market today, unfortunately some products don't work nicely together- which is why it is important to always check the ingredients of your products. also, don't layer cream/liquid products over powder products as this will create an uneven and cakey look, which can often feel very uncomfortable on the skin.

Blend blend blend!
although this is a tip that may seem obvious to many of you, being persistent when blending is key to make sure that you don't have a patchy application of whatever aspect of makeup you're applying. There are so many tools in the industry- and these different tools can be beneficial to many people. as for my brushes, i like to use made by mitchell's 16 piece brush collection, as it's simply what has worked best for me!

overall, i encourage everyone to try something experimental with their makeup. it could start with coloured mascara, use of rhinestones, graphic liner- anything, just have fun with it!
